Likewise helpful is the format for item headings as found under Settings > Configuration > Default values. Here you can specify how you wish for the heading of the line item to read when it has been inserted as an article. The default value given is [[Article.article_number]] [Article.name]. This means that first the article number will be inserted in brackets, followed by the article name. One click on “new item from article” in the invoice form will generate such a position: [1234] Article ABC
If you’d like to take a different route, then you can change the format in the settings instead by using placeholders.
