The final setting that should be taken care of before writing your first invoice has to do with sales tax. Under Settings > Configuration > Taxes you can enter as many tax rates as you’d like. These will of course vary from country to country. In Germany, for example, two sales tax or VAT rates may apply – either 7% or 19% – both of which must be entered into the system. To do so, click on the button “New tax rate” and enter a name (such as “VAT”) and then enter the tax rate percentage.
Billomat uses net prices when doing calculations. This means that the prices entered into the system will have taxes added subsequently. If you prefer to work with gross prices (that is, prices including taxes), then you can adjust this setting here as well.
